Cedar Haven

Provides Psychiatric Care

Cedar Haven is a outpatient treatment program for children and adults who continue to live within their community but need additional psychiatric support.

If 70 to 90 percent of people with a mental illness can get better with proper treatment, why are people so afraid to ask for help? Many people don’t seek the help they need and miss out on the fullness of life. It doesn’t have to be that way. As with any illness proper and timely treatment can make all the difference. Mental illnesses are physical complications within the body just like heart disease, high blood pressure, or diabetes.

Treatment

Our experienced, interdisciplinary team, led by Kevin Price, M.D., is responsible for delivering treatment.  The program helps people regain as much of their independence as possible by providing the following specialized care: assessment and evaluation, individual and group therapy, medication monitoring, education, social service referrals, caregiver training, bereavement counseling, and family counseling.

Who Is Appropriate For Treatment?

The program is designed to relieve emotional and personal distress for people suffering from depression, sleep disorders, grief and loss, mood changes, anxiety, phobias, panic disorders, stress, marital problems, parent/child problems, eating disorders, or dysfunctional patterns of behavior that interfere with daily living.
