Inpatient Therapy

Mena Regional Health System is committed to assisting patients in overcoming obstacles and returning to their daily lives, whether it’s work, family, active retirement, or independent living.

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit implements a team approach, offering individual one-on-one physical, occupational and speech therapy, 24 hour nursing and case management. The skilled nursing staff are under the direction of a medical director who specializes in rehabilitation. Hospitalists and psychiatrists are available as needed. Our unit features spacious and comfortable patient rooms that are specifically crafted to enhance the patient’s rehabilitation progress. Additionally, the therapy areas are conveniently situated within the unit.

Rehabilitation greatly benefits patients that experience difficulties in the following areas:

Impaired mobility, balance and coordination mobility

Limitations in joint strength and motion

Speech and communication problems

Changes in memory, thought processing, reasoning and rational thinking

Limitations in self-care

Swallowing disorders

We understand that each patient is different. Therefore, our devoted team personalizes the care of every patient according to their unique needs and pace of progress. Physicians, patients, patient’s families, discharge planners, and health professionals can all make referrals. Patients meeting admission criteria can be admitted from home, clinic, assisted living or hospitals.
